The Twelfth annual Jamia Mosque Qur’an memorization competition for girls concluded with winners in various categories being awarded for their exemplary performances.
Hafsa Jumale Yusuf from Abdulrahman As-Sulami emerged as the overall winner after she topped the ranks in the category of memorizing the whole 30 chapters of the Quran. Hafsa took home a cash prize of Sh 100,000.

The four-day competition held at Jamia Mosque attracted 88 participants drawn from over 50 madrasas and other learning institutions from Nairobi and its environs. The annual competition was organized and sponsored by the Jamia Mosque Committee in conjunction with Direct Aid Society, formerly African Muslims Agency (AMA).
