The Jamia Mosque in Nairobi welcomed non-Muslims for a special event dedicated to fostering interfaith harmony and dispelling misconceptions about Islam and its followers.

Over 400 individuals of diverse religious backgrounds gathered at the iconic Jamia Mosque along Banda Street to gain a deeper understanding of the activities that take place inside the mosque.

Organized by the Jamia Da’wah department, the open day program saw ten individuals embrace Islam by reciting the Shahada. Attendees, including Christian clergy, academics, students, and tourists, were given a unique opportunity to explore the mosque freely, engage with the Muslim community, and capture moments through selfies and group photographs.

Upon entering the mosque, visitors were guided through a tour that explained Islamic rites such as ablution and the conduct of prayers.
